Vista Start Menu

Let
us show you what's new on the Vista Start Menu.
The
Left pane of the Start Menu are all about your programs.
Click Image for example:

The
top left portion are programs that are pinned to your start menu.
-
The
bottom left portion is for recently used programs and will change constantly.
-
The
Line between the two indicates the separation of pinned items and recently used items.
Note:

The
top portion of the right pane of the Start Menu is all about your
documents.
Click Image for example:

Clicking
the Username will explore all files under the current user
profile.
Click Image for example:

Clicking
Documents will go directly to the current user's Documents folder.
Click Image for example:

Clicking
Pictures will go directly to the current user's Pictures Folder.
Click Image for example:

Clicking
Music will go directly to the current user's Music Folder.

Clicking
Games will go directly to Windows games preinstalled on your computer.
The
Middle portion of the right pane has different types of options.

Clicking
Search will open the search window.

Clicking
Recent Items will show you all of the documents or files you have recently opened.

Clicking on
Computer will show you information about the computer.

Click
Network lets you view and change your Network settings and devices.

Clicking
Connect To will allow you to connect to a different Network or device.

The
bottom portion of the right pane has shortcuts to areas to change options within Windows and also Help functions.

Control Panel opens the control panel.

Clicking
Default Programs allows you to change different aspects of programs on your computer.

Clicking
Help and Support opens up a window with all of the options available to help you with different aspects of your computer.
