How To Use MalwareBytes Anti-Malware

Download MalwareByte's Anti-Malware

1. Click Here to Download the latest MalwareBytes Program

2. This will bring you to a site called DOWNLOAD.COM. Click on the blue Download Now next to the Green box with White arrows

3. Right Click the gold banner that appears at the top of the page and click Download File

For High Speed Internet Users: A File Download window will appear. Click on Run. Follow the installation wizard instructions to install.

For Dial Up Internet Users: A File Download window will appear. Click on Save and then save to your desktop. Once downloaded, double click icon on your desktop and follow installation wizard instructions to install.

Note: If you downloaded to your desktop, delete the icon from your desktop after installation is complete.

Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware

1. Double Click the MalwareBytes Installation Icon

2. Choose your language, then click OK

3. Click Next

4. Click the button in front of I accept the license agreement and Click Next

5. Click Next

6. Keep defaults and click Next

7. If you receive a message to create a folder, then click Yes to create the folder

8. Keep defaults and Click Next

9. Put a Check in both boxes and Click Next

10. Click Install

11. Click Finish

12. Wait for Updates to finish. Do NOT click the red X!

13. Click OK

Update MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware

Note: If you use Dial Up to access the internet, please connect to your service provider before attempting to update.

1. If not already open, Click on Start, then go to All Programs, then to Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click on Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

2. Click on the Update Tab at the top of the main screen

3. Click on Check for Updates

Note: Repeat step 3 until you receive the message below and click OK.

Run a Full System Scan

1. Click on the Scanner Tab

2. Click on radial button in front of Perform Full Scan and click Scan

3. Put a check in front of all active Hard drives and click Scan

4. Once scan completes, Click OK

5. Click Show Results

6. Verify all boxes are checked, then click Remove Selected in the lower left corner

7. Close the results text that will open when it's finished

You are done! Do this once a week to keep your computer free of Spyware, Malware and Adware.
